Hi,
I have tried configuring sipxviewer to work but to no avail. I also tried tried sending the sipxproxy.log (only for a few calls), but it seem this list does not allow for big files. I have a few questions/ comments. 1. the transfer controller waited for the transfer target to answer before completing the transfer 2. I have snom phones and linksys phones. I have noticed that the problem is only when that transfer controller is a snom phone and the transfer target is a snom phone. When the transfer controller is a snom and transfer target is the linksys phone, attended transfe works fine. Could the problem in between snoms?.. 3. if the issue is indeed that my gateway does not support the SIP 'Replaces' header is there a work around?...

Thanks

Lawrence,
The transfer controller receives calls from the PSTN via epygi
fxo gw. The transferee is on the PSTN side. The transfer target and
transfer controller is a sipx extn. Here is the process
     1. Transferee calls a PSTN No. which rings on the transfer
controller
     2. Transfer controller answers initiates the transfer with
consultation to transfer target.
     3. On pressing transfer and hanging up(on the transfer
controller), transferee is send to the AA of the fxo gw, transfer
target is disconnected.

Thanks for the description.

Did the transfer controller actually wait for the transfer target to
answer before completing the transfer? If not, the protocol sequence
used on the wire is different...

It is difficult to diagnose this without a message trace. Instructions
on how to get one from the sipXecs logs are on the wiki at:

http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/Display_SIP_message_flow_using_Sipviewer

It is possible that your gateway does not support the SIP 'Replaces'
header, but without trace data it's hard to tell. You could also use
wireshark on the network that the gateway is on to see the interactions
with the gateway itself (this will be a less complete picture than the
above, but might be enough).
