I am going to try to hook up sipx to a sipx trunk provider and two of the things they have below I was not sure how to setup. 1. how to turn off registrations and any sip username/password(do I turn this off in the phones registering with sipx or in sipx itself)....I am typically using sjphone or x-lite 2. how to setup the gateways? (and again, is this something I do in sipx or in the phones themselves)?
thanks, Dean PBX Configurations required for Bandwidth.com SIP Trunks: • Your PBX MUST either be on a Public Static IP address or behind an approved ALG device. • Please turn off registrations and any SIP username/password—they are not required and will hinder functionality. • Bandwidth.com inbound gateway IP: 216.82.224.202. • Bandwidth.com Primary outbound gateway IP: 216.82.224.202:5060 SIP/UDP • Bandwidth.com Secondary outbound gateway IP: 216.82.225.202 SIP/UDP • Please set up your equipment to accept calls from both our primary and secondary IP's. • DTMF: RFC2833 • Supported Codecs: G.711Ulaw and G.729A • SIP REFER is not supported, please use SIP REINVITE • Numbers MUST be formatted in E.164 format Local / Long Distance calls ( +1 then 10 digits ) Example: +12125551212 International calls ( + country code - city code - numbers) Example: + 4402074942020 **Note: Inbound calls will also need to be formatted this way. • Port 5060 must be open for SIP. • Ports 1024 - 64000 should be open for Media. -- Dean Hiller CEO/Founder of Extreme Software Offshoring http://xsoftware.biz http://www.linkedin.com/in/deanhiller Beijing Cell: 136-991-41547 US Phone: 303-376-5776
