Polycom 650 has 14 button side car (you can add up to 3 of them).
Work great. Perhaps this is off-topic, but can you (or anyone else) recommend a phone with a sidecar that works with sipx? I prefer to have all phones made by the same company (which means the SPA932 is going to be my last option). I've tried the grandstream phones, and while I like them and the sidecar unit performs as expected, the company I'm installing them at doesn't like their esthetics. Thanks again. ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy A Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2008 5:48 PM Cc: sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Linksys SPA932 Configuration with SipX Barrett Falk wrote: Hi, I'm trying to configure my Linksys SPA932 sidecar to work with my Linksys SPA962 phone. More specifically, I'm trying to get the BLF to work. I'm using SipX 3.10.2 with the most recent firmware on the SPA962 (and SPA932). I've made the following changes directly to the SPA962 without generating the configuration through sipx: CTI Enable: Yes Proxy: SipX IP Address User ID: 20 Password: 0000 CTI enable simply means it sends progress messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unless you have a UA application registered with sipx as [EMAIL PROTECTED] and able to interpet the progress messages then it is of no value to enable CTI. It is specifically no value to sipx. I've made the following changes to the SPA932 tab: Server Type: Broadsoft Unit 1 Key 1: fnc=blf+sd;[EMAIL PROTECTED];nme=21;[EMAIL PROTECTED]; I've made the following changes to sipx: Added the speed dial 21 to user 20. I also verified that the resource-lists.xml file exists with the name ~~rl~46 and contains the extension 21. According to the SPA932 status, the BLF 1 button is registered (also indicated by the solid green light on the SPA932). Oddly enough, the line column in blank. The I don't think it is registered. Lights on SPA932 are not an accurate representation of subscribe status. The behaviour also changes depending on firmware version. Also, I did some research on the broadsoft mechanism with respect to the 932 and it appears there is no way to map that to individual 932 lights. speed dial does work, but the lights remain solid green even when a phone is in use. The phone works properly, it can receive and send calls. Anybody get the BLF on the SPA932 to work with sipx? Not me. But I do use the 932 with sipx and provide my own BLF using direct subscription to target phones. Amusingly (not) SPA962 do not support SUBSCRIBE methods so I can't monitor any other 962 (or 94x).
