I did flush the cache on the proxy (MS ISA 2006), but that didn't help.
Note that the updates to the OS and even the Dell System Manager
software work fine.

I suspect this has something to do with the combination of my proxy
server and the redirect back and forth between sipxecs.sipfoundry.org
and sipxecssw.org. I can't really bypass the proxy. Port 80 is sucked
into the proxy "transparently".

And here is the really weird part: If I do a WGET (or even use a web
browser on the same subnet) using the "transparent" proxy (no proxy set
in WGET). http://sipxecssw.org/pub/sipXecs/sipxecs-stable-centos.repo
is redicrected to
http://sipxecssw.org/pub/sipXecs/sipxecs-stable-centos.repo?9d503320
with a "location" http header. The string at the end (9d503320) changes
from time to time. If I set wget to use the proxy server explicityly,
this weird redirect doesn't happen.

Now, I know you are thinking that this must be something wrong with my
ISA server, but this proxy has been working fine for years. I've never
seen anything like this.

Any ideas?

Scott.

Either of of two things is the root cause:

1. A problem with the repo file itself or,
2.( more likely) a problem with your ISP or network and a corrupt file
in a proxy sitting somewhere between you and the Internet. If you are
using a proxy, bypass it or flush the cache in it, or use a different
proxy.

At the same time, make sure you have a backup of your ZONE file before
doing your upgrade if you are using DNS on your sipx installation.

Centos 5.3. Originally installed from the sipX ISO at maybe 3.10.2.
Yes, the OS repo is installed.

What OS version are you running? Do you have an OS repo?

Hi,

I'm trying to run an update from 3.10.3 to 4.0.1. I am getting error:
"Metadata file does not match checksum".

I downloaded the new repo file as shown in the 4.0.1 instructions. I
tried yum clean all & yum clean metadata. No luck.

Any ideas?
