Thank you Tony

i used my sipx clone's zone file for sipx1 and everything back to normal
problems and all. This issue came about while trying to solve why i can't
create a server for sipxBridge.from the system/servers/add server.

*** I may have found the root of the problem ***. when i try to create server
as outlined about i now get this additional check box option

Redundant SIP Router == THIS emplies that there is still a server installed on
sipx1 box.

I orginally had a server defined but removed it and when i go back in to create
new server i now get that 'Redundant SIP Router ' check box item already
checked and tells me and the message "At least 1 Management role has to be
enabled in the cluster"

So removing the first server (sipxbridge) did not completely remove it.

It was installed at one point but in that/this experiment i was not using it
because i was relying on inGate to provide sip firewalling. that is the reason
for removing sipxbridge server from sipx1 box, in the first place. I'm have my
ITSP orginating from 6080 to the inGate and NATing to the inGate which nten is
terminagting back to ITSP 5060. The problem i was solving was that i can make
calls out and receive calls in voice mail but the phones don't ring or forward
calls.

One problem lead to another. Back to the point

Why did the first server not completely remove and why doest the seconed
attempt still see it.

Your zone file looks empty. See the last message I sent with the associated
tracker item. You'll need to re-enter some records manually to fix it. I'd
suggest once it is fixed telling bind to freeze the zone and maybe it won't be
overwritten again.
