Well after the last round of people requesting a
forum...I've gone and created one.

Now the good thing is that it is integrated with the current
Sipx-users mailing list. So email sent to the list will be
added to the forum as a thread. And posts added to the
forum will be sent to the mailing list.

that way, those of us that like the mailing list can use it,
and newbies will have a forum but still get access to those
of us in the mailing list.

It's actually working fairly well other than it sometimes
thinks that a message is a new message rather than a reply
and it creates a new thread. But I suspect some of that is
the way some people email.

I've also sucked in some of the archives. When I get a
chance I will suck them all in.

So before I let people in I need a few things.
1. I need a few people to be moderators
2. I'd like some official support from sipfoundry with a
link and possibly a DNS entry for forums.sipfoundry.com or
whatever.

With the way the forum works, its autocreating logins based
on the mailing list so most people already have logins.

The only other issue is bandwidth. As long as we can
support the bandwidth we will host it. If someone else ever
needs to take this over, the community has full access to
it.

Once i hear back from some people on the items above I will
open up the ip for people to start poking around
