Hi folks, after digging into the steps of upgrading I noticed some things to check. The pre-/post-install scripts doing the update process in case of existing files, etc. In case of sipxconfig rpm some files got corrupted (xml with malformed tags, no closing tags), so each file with *merged* in it should be manually checked!
I got it working so far, phones can register, call in/- out. But when trying to modify the hotlines in ACD, I cannot add agents. When I type in a number it's always saying:"not found". What could be the problem, is it database/table related or is there some information in files which I need to check/modify ? I think if it were me I would do an in-place upgrade to 4.0.2 (or 4.0.3) then do a backup/restore so the version is the same. I think I would also use the built-in backup/restore and not pgdump first. Realize the above statement is, "if it were me". I moved the files and restored the postgres databases from the pg_dump. But I got some issues with SSL stuff (error in replicating). So my general question: is there a guide how to move from an "old" system to a new system without doing the RPM upgrade ? Some guidelines would be nice.
