Hunt groups have to be crafted carefully. I've learned you can't have the same line in more than once, etc. I create very simple hunt groups and they always work.
We never use asterisk anywhere so that never bites us. We NEVER use an itsp who operate their trunks on an asterisk platform. Call pickup is an issue if it is not properly configured. We use polycom phones or bria softphones, and our permissions are always correct, so it works. You cannot pickup a hunt group or a line that is provisioned to multiple phones. So you DO need to understand this in order to make it work properly. Good luck with your @home and asterisk stuff. ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: tgrazi...@myitdepartment.net LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ ----- Original Message ----- From: sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org <sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org> To: Josh Patten <jpat...@co.brazos.tx.us> Cc: sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org <sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org> Sent: Wed Dec 02 17:10:27 2009 Subject: Re: [sipx-users] SIP Trunk problem on sipXecs 4.0.4 Thank you Josh It's a shame that we probably have to give up sipXecs, I worked on it almost one month. sipXecs does give us so many troubles, like call pickup never worked, hunt group chain doesn't really work .... We fixed most of the problems or just simplify our requirements, but at last ... My manager probably have made his decision, really frustrating.
