I've been experimenting with the latest Polycom firmware. (The main reason, is
because it shows the callee name on the display when an extension is
dialed---something that our old phone system did, and our users have been
clamoring for ever since.)

The problem: With this new firmware, I lose 5 seconds per day on the phone
clock. I checked with Polycom, and they said they never heard of this problem.
The SNTP server is loaded in there just fine. (I can verify this in the phone
TCP/IP status screen). The SNTP server is a Windows SNTP server, but this has
always worked fine with previous Polycom versions. In any event, the phone
picks up the proper time from the SNTP server on a reboot, but then loses the 5
seconds per day.

I realize the config files generated by SIPX are not perfect for these
versions, but I don't see any changes to the SNTP parameters. My question, has
anyone else noticed this? If anyone else is experimenting with these versions,
can you check and see if you are losing 5 seconds per day?
