On the upside, our disaster recovery plans worked.

 

(Although we did have a moment of panic because some of our Outlook Clients 
were in Online Cached mode, which caused some email received by our secondary 
mail store during the time our Exchange server was down to appear to be 
missing...)

Sorry Mike... I never don't ask why (ask anyone :-) ).
 
It doesn't make sense to me to leave disks that may not be in a
compatible file system sitting there waiting for the run time image to
be confused by.
