I use a hunt group for outbound... Looks like this:
service hunt-group FXOHUNT drop-cause normal-unspecified drop-cause no-circuit-channel-available drop-cause network-out-of-order drop-cause temporary-failure drop-cause switching-equipment-congestion drop-cause access-info-discarded drop-cause circuit-channel-not-available drop-cause resources-unavailable drop-cause user-busy drop-cause destination-out-of-order route call 1 dest-interface IF_FXO1 route call 2 dest-interface IF_FXO0 so, if you had a 4 port gateway and you wanted inbound on 0 and 1 and outbound on 2 and 3 it would look like this: service hunt-group FXOHUNT drop-cause normal-unspecified drop-cause no-circuit-channel-available drop-cause network-out-of-order drop-cause temporary-failure drop-cause switching-equipment-congestion drop-cause access-info-discarded drop-cause circuit-channel-not-available drop-cause resources-unavailable drop-cause user-busy drop-cause destination-out-of-order route call 1 dest-interface IF_FXO3 route call 2 dest-interface IF_FXO2 Mike -----Original Message----- From: Matthew Kitchin (public) [mailto:mkitchin.pub...@gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, December 12, 2009 1:30 PM To: Picher, Michael; Tony Graziano; sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org Subject: Re: [sipx-users] ATA device for emergency analog lines Is that a per port or per device setting? -----Original Message----- From: "Picher, Michael" <mpic...@cmctechgroup.com> Date: Sat, 12 Dec 2009 12:27:14 To: Tony Graziano<tgrazi...@myitdepartment.net>; <mkitchin.pub...@gmail.com>; <sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org> Subject: RE: [sipx-users] ATA device for emergency analog lines In your dial out rule you just specify which fxo's are for outbound... easy breezy... -----Original Message----- From: Tony Graziano [mailto:tgrazi...@myitdepartment.net] Sent: Saturday, December 12, 2009 12:04 PM To: mkitchin.pub...@gmail.com; Picher, Michael; sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org Subject: Re: [sipx-users] ATA device for emergency analog lines Yes I believe you can do that. The sipx audiocodes wiki page indicates you can't specify which lines were used for outbound, but I wasn't sure if that was an audiocodes or sipx issue. Also, does the fact that the patton would require 2 devices make it much more complex? I could set it so one 4 port device is strictly for inbound and the other with 2 for in and 2 for out if that helps. To me it is much more clear as to exactly what is going on. The debugging in the Patton gateways also rocks.
