Well, you really should schedule upgrades for them, if only because
updates after 4.0 will be much easier, but I understand that these
things take time.

That's exactly the idea - but there is a way to do the copy of the
entire 'space' as a single operation, so it's a one time thing.  We'll
have a space for documentation of version B and copy it to create the
space for the documentation of version C - after that, they'll be
maintained separately.
