The backup/restore won't work if the production system has a different
name or IP address than the test server.

I migrated our system by bringing the test server up on an isolated
network, and copying the configuration from the test server to the
production server screen-by-screen.

Obviously, it's advisable to backup the configuration of the new system
as soon as it is correctly configured.

Subject: [sipx-users] Migrating from Test to Production Systems

We have been working with SIPX in a test environment on test hardware
and now we want to move the config on the test machine to a production
server. Is their a best practice way of doing this? We tried doing a
backup on the test server and restore on the prod server, but that did
not appear to work. Any help would be appreciated/

Thanks
