I can also confirm that the Mac OSX version doesn't accept filename parameter 
on command line. Picking from menu within the app is ok.
I am not sure how to tell what version of sipviewer I am running. But it is 
whatever http://sipxecs.sipfoundry.org/temp/sipXecs/sipviewer-install.jar 
points to as of this moment.
