Hi

A month on from setting up sipx I am still battling to get it to perform 
certain actions. I have a fairly important requirement for users to be able to 
signin/signout of the ACD/call centre using a button on their phone (I am aware 
this is possible through the web UI but this is not sufficient).

So far I have tried two methods:
1) I have tried using the *86/*88 key sequence on the handsets. When I dial *86 
at the dial tone I just get the dial tone again. When I dial *88 I get a solid 
buzzing tone for 500ms with "Call Connected" showing for a further 1 second, 
and then a dial tone. In neither case does the web UI  "Features -> Agent 
Status" status of the agent change. I am using Linksys SPA942 handsets. I did 
notice that in my sipxconfig webUI (sipx version 4.0.4-017289) that under Phone 
-> Regional,  *86 is mapped to “Call Back Deact Code” and *88 to nothing. There 
seems to be no option/field for ACD Signin or ACD Signout.

2) I have tried bypassing the GUI altogether and writing a small script that 
grabs the DND status of the handset from the handset itself via HTTP and then 
uses it to calculate the signin status (if DND on, agent should be signed out, 
if DND off, agent should be signed in). The script then grabs this and updates 
the sipxdata/sipxpresence/state.xml file with the corrected values. However, 
the Web GUI again does not update the agent status based on the updated values 
in this file.

Is it possible for anyone to assist me with either of the above approaches 
please?
