I tested the shared line feature on Polycom firmware 3.2.3 with sipxecs SVN 18544 and I can't find any problems (!).
A user is on 10 phones and (some 650's and some 335's) and I have no problem putting calls on hold on one phone and picking up on another. There's a weird short delay (500ms?) and the display blinks something when you pick up the call, but it works fine nonetheless.
