Are the phones using the same DNS as the PBX?
That should all work if DNS is working properly and there is a gateway in each pbx for the other's SIP domain. Yes, both side can resolve each other SRV records. You can ping both sides my names without problems. If they are on two different domains and connected via the open Internet, they shouldn;t resolve to private IP addresses at all, they should resolve to the real public IP address. The sides are connected via GRE over IPSEC VPN. So we use internal addresses for that purpose. Though at the moment we are currently simulating the connections locally. How are they connected? VPN? Internet? Private network to private network (routed)? Are they behind their own NAT's? Both sides are not NATed. Thanks for your reply.
