Well, how about providing some information? What the heck is a C1760V gateway? Who makes it? The FXS or SIP UA's don't dial the gateway. They should DIAL the proxy. The proxy should then send the call out to the gateway.
WHO the provider is DOES matter. Stop being mysterious and maybe you can obtain some real help. Here's how it might/should work... Your GATEWAY is just that, a gateway. If it is registering FXS lines it supposedly should register them to SIPX. Calls from the PSTN should come in on FXO ports, then be directed to SIPX. Calls out the PSTN should orginate at your UA (soft/hard phone) and then be directed to SIPX proxy, where call permissions are checked and passed to the gateway. There are several ways a SIPTRUNK can be configured. 1. ITSP calls (SIPTRUNK) are configured on SIPX and set to use the gateway as an unmanaged SBC Route. In the SIP TRUNK templates, there is a list of working providers. 2. External gateway can be configured and sipx uses the device as an unmanaged gateway. 3. (The normal way) SIPX is setup with the trunk configuration and an internal SBC and using a properly configured firewall manages the connection AND SETTINGS to the ITSP. It sounds like you have configured your gateway, can't even google it by the model you've listed here, is sending these credentials passed to it. This usually means you need to configure your gateway to send the subscriber/account number. While you can do this in sipx IF someone knew what provider you were using and you have a properly configured firewall, I don't get that sense here. Since it's all being done in you gateway, as I understand, and maybe noone has ever heard of the device except you, it makes me ask if you have called factory support or looked at the manual to understand how to get the desired results? It sounds like the gateway is the issue here unless you can provide better information.
