Do you use MS ISA Server for your firewall/proxy? I've found out that if you turn on HTTP compression on the ISA server, things go bonkers between it and the sipfoundry.org server when you do a yum update.
Something is not quite right with the HTTP headers being passed back and forth, because ISA will actually uncompress the gz file before returning it to the sipx server. Solution: temporarily turn off compression on the ISA server, then clear the cache on the ISA server.
