Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Voicemail login options

Yes it is possible by customising the login.vxml script located in
/usr/share/www/doc/vm_vxml (based upon SIPX 4.0, I'm not sure how much
change there is with 4.2 given there is a new voicemail system but on
first look the VXML scripts for voicemail are all still there in 4.2).

Basically the calls made to get voicemail messages are not authenticated
internally, so bypassing the portion of the script that checks voicemail
PIN will work. Be careful though, you'll need to handle the situation
where the extension cannot be determined, but it's pretty clear where
the logic for this scenario exists in the default login.vxml script.

Maybe this should be a feature request...

PIN-less voicemail login option from one or more extensions or phone
numbers (inbound caller id). Google voice allows for this when you call
from one of your registered phone numbers. The setting should be per
user and maybe even user selectable in their portal.

Is there a way to auto-login users to their voicemail box
without having to enter the personal identification number?

e.g. from a Polycom phone if I dial voicemail I need to enter
the user personal identification number to get to the voicemail box
