Hi Josh, Thanks for the reply... I have looked at /etc/resolve.conf and I can see my two DNS servers listed okay. I performed a DIG as you suggested and as long as I enter the full name sipx-live.company.com is returns an answer, if I just enter sipx-live, then it doesnt provide an answer (note I have used fictitious names in this example). My system is not HA, so SRV has not been setup. I did notice between the two examples, the working setup performed an A name lookup at the end, whereas the non working setup seems just to query the SRV names - any significance?
