If you plan on making a fairly significant contribution to the effort (+10 pages or so), You may want to setup a webdav client. Webdav let's you edit files as if they were local files. I've done this and it's made the world of difference for editing a lot of pages quickly. I'm not sure how confluence will handle multiple people all using webdav, so we'll have to see how this goes. To setup webdav, for linux users, i installed davfs2 package and ran cd ~/ mkdir wiki sudo mount -t davfs -o rw,uid=dhubler http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/plugins/servlet/confluence/default/ wiki/ you will get prompted for sipfoundry wiki user name and password. For more information, see http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+a+WebDAV+client+for+Confluence The file system is very slow, and may seem intolerable, but as long as it beats editing in web browser, it's a win in my book. BE CAREFUL, you can make massive inadvertent changes this way 2.) Review the wiki markup: http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/renderer/notationhelp.action NOTE: Mike Picher and I had a discussion and feel the rich text editor is too buggy to recommend we use to any great length. It generates html that is so messy that the rich text editor component eventually cannot edit the text anymore, and then you have to go and edit by hand. At that point, the page is a real mess and requires major cleanup. I haven't disabled the rich text editor yet, but we might. I did set the default editor to be wiki markup 3.) Make sure you have wiki edit rights 4.) Signup.
