If you use the siptapi application (open source app) within outlook to do your dialing, there is an option field for User's Extension which is the extension it dials for your click to call. In that field, put *76+extension number and it will call you via intercom call, answering automatically, and then call the other party. Just tested it, it works great.
This proves Polycom does the autoanswer, you would need to make an adjustment to any click-to-call application to have it behave the same. Hello, I'm a newbie sipXecs user/admin. So far I am having great fun! I am playing with the call control web service <http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/display/sipXecs/Call+Control+Web+Service> and trying to hook it up to the Dialectic dialer app <http://www.jonn8.com/dialectic/> on the Mac. As far as I can tell, the call control web service first calls the "caller" and then calls the "callee". It would be awesome if the call to the caller was sent such that it would be auto-answered by my Polycom phone. Is there any way to modify/change the behavior of the call control web service so it would do that? Perhaps there might be a way to assign a new line or alias to my phone, that is always auto-answered, if so, I could do that, and then specify that address as the "caller" in the call control web service. Any help or pointers would be gratefully appreciated! Thanks, Don _____ No virus found in this message.
