Subject: [sipx-users] Voice Operator Panel / TCP-TLS-SRTP-G722

Hi,

Through our partnership with eZuce, we are pleased to announce the new
version 1.5.0 of Voice Operator Panel (VOP).

. TCP and TLS transports

TCP and TLS transports are now available.
The default transport is still UDP but can be changed in the settings.
(Settings > Account)
The application can also automatically detect the transport through DNS
NAPTR when available and selected in the settings. (Settings > Account)
A certificate (X.509, CRT/CER/PEM file) can be selected and provided when
requested in the settings. (Settings > Network > TLS Certificate)

. Secure RTP

   SRTP is now supported.
By default the application the application will initiate RTP calls and
accept RTP or SRTP calls.
This behavior can be modified in the settings. (Settings > Network >
Secure RTP)
Disabled: The application will initiate RTP calls and refuse SRTP
calls.
      Supported: Default behavior.
Preferred: The application will initiate RTP (with optional SRTP)
calls and accept RTP or SRTP calls.
Mandatory: The application will initiate SRTP calls and only accept
SRTP calls.

. G.722 codec

The wideband codec G.722 is now supported.
By default the application will offer and select this codec as the
preferred codec.
This behavior can be modified in the settings. (Settings > Network >
Preferred codec)

. Updated Echo Canceller and Noise Reducer

The echo canceller and noise reducer have been updated to a higher
quality to support both 8Khz (narrowband) and 16Khz (wideband)
By default only the Noise Reducer is enabled.
You can enable the Echo Canceller when needed in the settings. (Settings
> Softphone)

. Automatic Directory Switching

When used in multi-tenant environment, you can create one directory per
company and link each directory to the company phone number dialed/called.
When the user will pick up a call for a company the linked directory will
automatically become the top/front directory on the screen.
You can link a directory to a dialed/called phone number by
right-clicking in a directory and entering the phone number in: Directory >
Phone.
This feature optimizes the process and transfer of incoming calls for
multiple companies/services.

. New translations

Two new translations are now available: Italian and Dutch.
The language is automatically detected on start or can be forced in the
settings. (Settings > Localization > Language)

. New Installer

The new installer will now let you select if you want to install and run
the application as Administrator or as the current user.
If you install as the current user, the application will no longer
require Administrator/Elevated privileges on start.
You are still required to install and run the application as
Administrator when you want to get a 30-day evaluation period.
