Wow, that is an interesting thought. Scary also.

Thankfully, Voice and Data always co-exist on the network well in all cases.
;) Or we would all be looking for jobs.

I've seen Polycom phones reboot and went through all the hoops... ended up
being some application on the data network. thankfully i had deployed with
VLans and was able to put a firewall between data and phone vlans and the
problem went away...

I've had several SPA942's working in my lab for a few weeks, I did not see
them reboot on their own at all during that time. I actually used one of
them on my production system running 4.2.1 as my own phone for about a week
and did not experience this particular issue.

These are now at the customer site where they are now on a 4.4.0 system, and
I've not seen this issue - but will be watching closely for it. They are
not however running the most current version of the firmware.

I don't have the phones in front of me right now, but I think they were
firmware 5.8 possibly if my memory serves me.

For provisioning, I factory defaulted them, and sipXecs provisioned them
with default template parameters.

I have seen one issue, that when you change configuration and issue a
reboot, it doesn't always reboot, and I have to resend it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed moving forward....................

 Salut!
Does anybody use Linksys spa922/942 with sipX? So, maybe you're able to
help me :) Here is the problem. I've got about 10 Linksys spa922/942
working with my sipX 4.2 server. The phones work fine, provisioning is ok,
registration, calls - everythings seems to be fine. But! The only problem
is Linksys reboot... I still can't find out where the reason of the problem
can be hidden, but the fact is that every spa922/942 can randomly reboot
anytime! Even during an active call! An interesting fact is that spa921/922
works fine, but 922/942 reboot very often.. it seems to be a provisioning
issue, but I still can't find out what's going wrong with it.
 Thank you.
 Regards, Gor.
