I have started working with GFI FAXMaker and TE-Systems support to resolve the issue.
The issue currently seems to be related to the password hash exchanged between the two systems. The sipXecs server is reporting errors during the registration process and there is found a bad password message in the debug logging. Will post resolution when found as posting of snapshot was not responded too. Does their product provide a trace log of the trial to register? Have you put your proxy/registrar in debug log level and see if the attempts hit sipx and what it is returning yet?
