We have http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/display/sipXecs/Upgrade+to+Latest+Stable+Version should be updated, however most folks will not RTFM so in addition, I like Michael's suggestion of highlighting field may be best. We cannot make it mandatory because restoring from 4.6 it's not required.
