Hi, I've been having
a play with sipXtapi with a view to using it in our IVR products, however I've
hit a couple of brick walls:
- There doesn't seem
to be any support for audio streaming? (on both record and playback). This seems
to be a limitation of the underlying sipXmedia library?
Streamed recording is essential when used in
Speech Recognition where you want to start feeding audio packets to a
Speech Recogniser in real time.
Streamed playback is
useful where you want to start playing back audio packets received
from a TTS engine in a real time (i.e. before the TTS engine completes
conversion)
- All our audio file
recordings are already in ALAW format. There seems to be no way to play these
back directly? I had to convert the files to (linear) PCM before I
could them back?
