Hi!
I have a CSTA/TSAPI application that i wish to convert so it use sipx-pbx.
My question is how i go about doing this and if you think it is at all possible
to do it and get a robust app. Today i am using an Ericsson Business Phone PBX
and a pc with an Eicon E1/T1 Board and the Eicon SDK. It is really stable
and high performance. Now i want to do the same app using an all software
solution.
I would like to have this setup:
External SIP Gateway(a)
!
!
Linux sipX-pBX(b) <------> my app on a Windows box(c)
!
!
extensions with sipPhones(d)
My idea is to implement functions at C which does call control and
extension monitoring on B.
Functions such as dialling an external number via A and when connected
dial a SIPphone extension and connecting the two....
What i need is:
* Call control: hang up/dial any extension or external number (via
gateway at the operator)
* Monitor stream: monitor, record audio stream
* Monitor extension events: hang/up/alerting/dialling/dtmf key etc
Should i use sipXtapi for this? Known limitations?
Today i am doing this with Eicon cards and their SDK but i would like to
implement an all SIP solution if that is at all possible. That is, get rid of
all telephony hardware and control the sipXPbx directly.
I will be doing it with Delphi(the app is already a Delphi app) and i am used to
converting headers and importing dll functionality so that's no problem.
My concerns are more about supported functions and robustness.
I would like for this to be a production system. Do you think
it is possible to use sipxtapi and sipx-pbx at current state
and have a robust app?
Thanks
