This patch works well for me so far, but I read about the documentation on waveOutProc, waveOutOpen and waveOutWrite and it says very clearly that doing wave operations in the callback procedure can cause a deadlock.  I don't always trust the documentation if enough experience shows otherwise, but I don't have it.  How confident are you in this code?

Thank you,
Charlie Hedlin

Hi,

Attached file includes patched MicThreadWnt.cpp and SpeakerThreadWnt.cpp.
By replacing files on sipXmediaLib/src/mp/, sound cutting will be decreased.
Though this is based on sipXtapi-media-update branch, and diff.txt is difference
from it, these files can also be used for sipXtapi_SRC_2006-03-10.tgz.
I also reported this to the issue tracker.

Current code gives THREAD_PRIORITY_TIME_CRITICAL to these threads,
I think it is not essential. Without it, there is no problem for me.

logan, I am not sure with uni-directional problem, because I am only using
sipXtapi under local network.
