I will run some traces with x-Lite and look up the documation to get a better idea. In the interim, my first thought of what could work would (and I did on the phone at my office) was to not set a proxy at all.  If you get a number or anything that isn't a complete sip uri, append the proxy to the target address prior to placing the call.  If you do have a complete sip URL, just connect it directly.

I doubt I will be able to look into it further for several days.

Hello,

Could you be more specific ? I couldn't find what has been added in
sipxtapi-main to support this.

My problem is very simple, and maybe there is an other workaround:

When I'm connected to my SIP proxy, I can call
<any_phone_number>@myproxy.net
However, if I try to call say [EMAIL PROTECTED] (it's a talking clock), I
get a 404 not found from the proxy.

Is there any way to make this work with Sipxtapi ?
I noticed that when X-Lite is configured with "Send outbound calls via
Target Domain", it just works.

Best regards,

stipus

Domain

It apears to me that X-Lite doesn't do this on a per call basis and I am
not sure how one would go about this. However, in the UA Josh and I
wrote we just appended the target domain to the sip URI.

In the latest versions of the X-Lite softphone configuration, there is a
setting for outbound calls:
- Send outbound calls via Domain
- Send outbound calls via Proxy
- Send outbound calls via Target Domain

My understanding (or misunderstanding) is that sipxtapi always send

outbound

calls via Proxy once the outbound proxy has been set. Please correct me

if

I'm wrong.

Is there a way to do something similar to "send outbound via Target

Domain"

with sipxtapi ?
I checked the call options, and didn't see any flag or setting like

"don't

use the proxy for this call".

Any idea ? How could I solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance,

Stipus
