Long time back, I once tried to link my VC++ 7.1 project to sipxtapi 
binaries build with VC++ 8.0. The linking went fine, but the application 
never started, it crashed with the same message as you get, "Unable to 
initialize". Also, I link to MFC as static libraries, could this be the 
cause of problem? I have VS 2005 and VS 2003 installed on my machine, but I 
never had this kind of problem or never had it reported from anywhere else.
