How did the commercial soft-phone know that call has ended if not from
BYE message? Or was the BYE message sent to the commercial soft-phone
but wasn't sent to your phone?

I just tested my softphone (which uses sipxtapi), I made a call from
another softphone not using sipxtapi and my softphone was correctly
notified that call has ended after I hang it up from the commercial
softphone.

I'm using sipxtapi from the sipxtapi branch, revision is ~9100.
