For those who might have the same problem: I got the recording to work, but 
recording does only seem to work if I specify that speaker should also be 
recorded. Experimental branch still outputs noise to the caller - except when 
playing back a file. Haven't figured out why. Works OK in main branch so I 
guess I'll continue using that.

Then I most definitely have a problem! I will test tomorrow if the same happens 
with the experimental branch, but any ideas why it doesn't work with the
