sipXtapi comes with wxWidgets 2.6.3 for Windows, there is no need to compile wxWidgets. sipXezPhone should build without the need for setting anything regarding wxWidgets. > I would like to know if a higher version wxWidgets-2.8.4 can be used. > > Version 2.4.2 is not available on the site anymore. So I would like to > know about the backward compatibility of the wxWidgets. > sipXezPhone was upgraded from using 2.4.2 to 2.6.3 long ago, but nobody is really maintaining that softphone anymore. It was meant to be only a simple tool for testing sipXtapi on multiple platforms, but it's too complicated considering it can't do much. If you want an example using 2.8.4, look for wxCommunicator. wxCommunicator can register multiple lines, handle multiple calls, and multiple conferences.
