Hi All, I'm brand new at this stuff, so please be gentle if this is a FAQ
that I could have found the answer to myself...
I have a golden client that has 2 gigabit NIC's in it.
I want to install that golden image onto a machine with one gigabit and
one 100 megabit interface.
The cards in question are all Intel.
When I install the image on the machine with one of each cards in it,
what shows up in /etc/modules.conf is:
alias eth0 e1000
alias eth1 e1000
when it should look like:
alias eth0 e1000
alias eth1 eepro100
Indeed, when I change the eth1 line and reboot, everything is great. But
I don't want to have to manually change /etc/modules.conf on every machine
I build with this image.
Oh, and yes, there are machines with 2 gig ethernet NIC's that I want to
use this same image on.
If I've read things correctly, it looks like systemconfigurator is doing
"something" wrong, though I'll be darned if I know what... Any pointers?
