No. I'm using the standard i386 boot package. I've pulled down the source for SI, and it looks like it's part of the source but not part of the pre-compiled RPMs that I installed from SourceForge. I'm building the RPMs now to see if the spec file packages the function file.
Can not help you here, i am using Debian and there it is include in boot package.
