Hello all
I'm new to using Systemimager and I have just one issue I can't
overcome.
I've found the using of the software pretty easy when copying images
from servers.
However when I try to deploy an image to a server I'm having issues.
My stituation at the moment is:
I can't use DHCP server to assign IP's
I don't have a floppy drive in any of the servers I want to install.
I've tried making a bootable CD with the --ip-assignment of
replicant so it doesn't try and do DHCP lookup.
However everytime I boot from the CD it tries to find its IP by
DHCP.
How can I use a bootable CD and have the server use a local.cfg file
so it knows what IP address the server that is being installed needs
to use and what the IP address of the systemimage server is?
I've scanned the mailing list and found people having the same issue
but no one as yet seems to have cracked this question.
I intend to be able to take an image of a server that has just been
installed and deploy it to a number of new servers each of which will
be assigned its own IP address.
There is already a DHCP server on the network that I can't use and
can't interfere with.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tony
