Hello,
First I'd like to say how great this SystemImager is, I've been using this now
for about a year and it has grown to become quite a useful tool for many things
in my company. I've even gone so far as to use it for virtualizing physical
linux servers, as well as backing up, replicating production to test, etc. Now
my problem...
I've been trying unsuccessfully to create a bootable USB device to distribute
my SI images. I've made significant progress, but cannot get this final one
figured out. I'm so close now I can taste it now, so I'm really anxious to get
this working.
Here's how I make my bootable USB:
si_mkautoinstalldisk --device /dev/sdb --kernel
/usr/share/systemimager/boot/x86_64/HA/kernel --initrd
/usr/share/systemimager/boot/x86_64/HA/initrd.img --append
"IMAGESERVER=<ImageServersIP> IMAGENAME=<imagename> SKIP_LOCAL_CFG=y
This is the error I get once I have booted up on this USB device and it has
connected to my image server, downloaded the 'boel_binaries':
echo /lib64/libc.so.6 : version 'GLIBC_2.4' not found
required by echo
Here's some useful info regarding my installed boel_binaries:
tar tvzf /usr/usr/share/systemimager/boot/x86_64/standard/boel_binaries.tar.gz
| grep libc.so.6
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1242968 2007-12-06 03:16:23 lib64/libc.so.6
rpm -qf /usr/share/systemimager/boot/x86_64/standard/boel_binaries.tar.gz
systemimager-x86_64boot-standard-4.0.2-1
This is a RHEL 5 64 bit server (my image server) and all my images are also
RHEL 5 64 bit.
What am I missing? Is it my si_mkautoinstalldisk method that is wrong? I'd be
able to get more help from the SI website or wiki, but it's been down the last
couple of days and I'm getting desperate.
Thanks for advance for any help you can provide,
Ken
