Hi,

Which bootloader are you trying to use ?

I experienced same problems trying to boot with "root" kernel
parameter in "/dev/$VolumeGroup/$LogicalVolume" format.
It's better to use "/dev/mapper/$VolumeGroup-$LogicalVolume" as kernel
parameter and as /etc/fstab entry.

With these changes I solved a similar problem.
