Hi!
Anybody encountered the same problem?
I'm still getting the rsync timeout.
This is my /etc/systemimager/rsyncd.conf file:
list = yestimeout = 600dont compress = *.gz *.tgz *.zip *.Z *.ZIP *.bz2 *.deb
*.rpm *.dbfuid = rootgid = rootuse chroot = yeslog file =
/var/log/systemimager/rsyncd## For additional security, modify and uncomment
the following lines.# See "man rsyncd.conf" for details.##hosts allow =
127.0.0.0/24 MY_NET/NETMASK MY_CLIENT/32## If you choose to install the clients
with SSH transport uncomment the# following lines.##hosts allow =
127.0.0.1#hosts deny = 0.0.0.0/0
[boot]path = /usr/share/systemimager/boot## Never restrict the access of the
[boot] module.#hosts allow = 0.0.0.0/0
[overrides]path = /var/lib/systemimager/overrides
[scripts]path = /var/lib/systemimager/scripts
[torrents]path = /var/lib/systemimager/torrents
[hp_proilant_dl160] path=/var/lib/systemimager/images/hp_proilant_dl160
[hp_proliant_dl160] path=/var/lib/systemimager/images/hp_proliant_dl160
I tried to execute the same command with a test file (stored in the same boel's
directory) and it's working fine. Also I tried to increase the size of my
ramdisk_size to ramdisk_size=120000.
thanks in advance for any help

Sorry, I forgot to add the last command:
si_mkclientnetboot --netboot --clients iqtc2_1-iqtc2_37
that prepares clients to boot with pxe.

Dear List,
it seems that these last days I suffered some problems with my mail and I
didn't recevied any mail.
So, i'll try to explain again what is my problem. :)
I followed the manual of SI page:
I installed in golden client all the necessary packages: (suse)
r...@test:~# rpm -qa | grep
systemimagersystemimager-i386initrd_template-4.0.2-1systemimager-client-4.0.2-1systemimager-x86_64initrd_template-4.0.2-1systemimager-common-4.0.2-1
and the same for image/dhcp server :
(debian)
dpkg -l | grep systemimagerii systemimager-boot-i386-standard 4.0.2
SystemImager boot binaries for i386 client nii
systemimager-common 4.0.2
Utilities and libraries common to both the sii
systemimager-initrd-template-i386 4.0.2
SystemImager initre template for i386 clientii systemimager-server
4.0.2
Automate GNU/Linux installs and upgrades oveii
systemimager-server-flamethrowerd 4.0.2
SystemImager boot binaries for i386 client nii
systemimager-x86-64boot-standard 4.0.2-2 Software
that automates Linux installs, soft
I must say that flamethrowed is not runnig at this moment in the server because
I don't want to use for the moment multicast connections (first of all lets to
try to solve this little problem ;) ).
For one hand I ran the prepare_image of golden client:
si_prepareclient --server 192.168.10.250
For the other hand, when this command finished I ran the following comands:
si_getimage --golden-client 192.168.10.1 --image hp_proliant_dl160
--ip-assignment dhcp -exclude /scratch -exclude /opt -exclude /home -exclude
/sge -exclude /sgeinst
si_addclients (who modifies correctly my /etc/hosts and scripts)
si_mkbootserver (with usr/share/syslinux/pxelinux.0 file) that generates me
the default file
in pxelinux.cfg
si_mkclientnetboot --netboot --clients iqtc2_1-iqtc2_37 which creates the
booting files associated with each client node (C0A80B0A etc).
The problem occurs when I boot a client for installing the image. It appears
that finds the pxeserver and starts the boot process.
But when it starts the get_boel_binaries phase I obtain a timeout:
rsyncd.log file:
2009/04/16 07:40:26
[10640] connect from iqtc2_34.iqtc.qt.ub.es (192.168.11.34)2009/04/16 07:40:26

iqtc2_34.iqtc.qt.ub.es (192.168.11.34)2009/04/16 07:40:26 [10640] building file
list2009/04/16 07:50:26 [10640] rsync error: timeout in data send/receive (code
30) at io.c(234) [sender=3.0.0]
take note that now I have got the same version and protocol of rsync (3.0.0)
p.d: this is my boels
path: /usr/share/systemimager/boot/x86_64/standard/boel_binaries.tar.gz
p.d2: If I try to run manually rsync command with bw-limit=1000 I still having
the same problem but for example if I try to rsync a test file from the client
it seems that rsync works
correctly.
pd.3: I'm working in a gigabit network
Any advise? Could you help me to solve this problem?
thanks in advance
gorkab
