HTML5 and CSS3 badge usage

Hello,
I have a question about using the HTML5 and CSS3 badges on my website. May I 
modify these badges to make them have a more 3-D and "shiny" look to them? I 
wouldn't want to be in any sort of copyright infringement. Just thought I'd ask 
permission first.
