Hi.

I am a 3rd level college student studying I.C.T. at the Waterford Institute of
Technology. I also run my own website, link below, for twelve years now. It
has recently come to my attention that Frames will not be supported in HTML5.
After spending considerable amount of time studying DIV’s, I now have to ask,
WHY are Frames not supported in HTML5?

My websites use Frames. They are easy to setup, they function perfectly fine,
they allow me to load pages into frame parts on my website page layout with
minimal programming effort, THEY WORK! Achieving the same layout with DIV’s
requires extensive coding and I currently do not know how to implement the
loading of separate HTML pages into separate parts of my DIV layout. I have
looked into this and have seen the EXTENSIVE coding needed to achieve it!!
CRAZY!!! With Frames it is so straight forward.

So I would like to know why Frames are not being supported in HTML5? Would it
really be an issue to implement the support of Frames into the new HTML5
language? Please reconsider this because as an I.T. student I can safely say
DIV’s are not as user friendly as Frames are. It just makes no sense to me
that Frames are being dropped in HTML5.

Kind regards,
Paul Boland.
