My colleagues wrote:

 "the site is filtering based on user-agent, and explicitly filtering the 
markup validator's UA string"

and

 "ok, with mozilla or wget UA string => ok, if I use the markup val UA string 
(W3C_Validator/1.3), it timeouts"
