I’m not sure I get why you changed its value in the first place. If I’m not mistaken, its default 
value is " \t\n", expanding "$*" uses the first character of IFS for separating 
values. So this should be good for your use case, unless I’ve missed something, which is very 
possible. :)

 After review, it looks like the IFS change is indeed unnecessary, and
goes back to ancient, more cargocultish times.

 So, to close this (and answer to zyxhere who isn't on the skaware ML),
it is indeed a problem in the skalibs configure script (and the same
occurs in the rest of skaware as well), and it will be fixed in the next
release. Sorry about that.

 (Charles' advice, "don't do that", is still good advice. 😛)
