I tried using lock-fd for a service, and got this error in the logs:
s6-supervise systemd-udevd: warning: unable to open supervise/service-lock for
writing (waiting 60 seconds): No such file or directory
Good catch, and good diagnosis, thanks! Fixed in git.
I need to push a release soon because lots of things have happened
since
the last one, but I'm hard at work on s6-rc (and then s6-frontend) and
code is so much in flux that I don't want to risk several major bumps
in a row. Please be patient.
