I did not find mention of this on the archives or wiki, but I suspect someone has probably encountered this problem already. Sometime in the not too distant past JSTOR made a change to their pdf generation/delivery mechanism and now when I try to open one of their pdfs with Skim all it will display is the JSTOR cover page. I assume this is actually a PDFKit bug as it happens with Preview but not Adobe Reader. Can anyone confirm this? I'll report the bug to Apple, although I'm not really sure where Apple's bug reporting mechanism resides....
My current workaround is to convert to postscript using 'pdftops' (from xpdf I believe) and back to pdf using 'ps2pdf' (ie ghostscript), but the final pdf is about five times larger than the original. Any alternative suggestions?
