I've changed the website's style a bit, also making the important  
information stand out a bit more.

That's a really long time for a message window to be open. Can't say  
anything for sure about that without a crash report. However it  
wouldn't be much of a surprise to crash, because the app bundle on  
disk was different from the one the running program is expecting, so  
it may have tried to access some resources that weren't present anymore.
