maybe, the funny change with Adobe was only accidentally.
Now I can't reproduce this effect.
But still: some pdf's (which I open correctly wioth SKIM a while ago)
now only open with a gray page (at the very last page of that pdf).
And scrolling back to page 1 in that pdf only gives gray pages, too.
When I select that pdf in the FINDER the preview (within FINDER) shows
the first page, then I doubleclick, SKIM opens that pdf and with page
3 of 4 (maybe that's where exited the last time I opened it) and that
page is gray only.
And: as you probably have seen at a glance: the system protocol within
my last email is from installation this afternoon (I assume).
There are no further entries in this log although I have opened a
couple of gray pages with SKIM.
Is there anything I can do?

No, it only works OK for every dataset after that very dataset has
been once opened by Acrobat Reader.
After that Skim also opens correctly with the first page.
Huh? So what did you do with Acrobat, did you save or anything? What
actually changed to the file?

I'm not acquainted with that,
Launch Console.app (in /Applications/Utilities), select the Console
Messages in the LHS pane and look for messages from Skim.
And what's your system?
Mac OS X 10.5.8
Did 1.3.6 work OK? Did the PDF have any notes attached?

You're probably doing nothing wrong, but I cannot say what goes
wrong. So you're saying that it now works OK? Is there anything
