I finally found some time to dig into my "dreams": it *was* actually possible 
to magnify stuff up until Skim 1.3.7, while form 1.3.8 on, it doesn't work any 
more. At least, I wasn't dreaming things up.

If it was a matter of explicitly disabling some functionality in presentation 
mode, I'd plea for re-enabling it, since it *is* definitely useful in some 
presentations I give to students.
